Where the code met the real world

2024-02 - Present Ethika, Inc

→I’ve been focused on improving performance and cutting costs by fine-tuning both the front-end and back-end of our systems.
→I manage and modernize several Vue.js projects, keeping them fast, clean, and easy to maintain.
→I also integrate new tools like Algolia and Nuxt into our existing setup to expand what our apps can do.
→On a day-to-day basis, I handle updates, fix bugs, and continuously refine the experience for both users and developers.
→Enhancing and improving our internal tools and infrastructure has been a big part of my work.
→Building our app using React Native.

2024-06 - 2023-07 Freedom Forever Solar

→I built new features for internal systems that made our workflows faster, smarter, and more automated.
→On the front end, I worked with React to create smooth, intuitive interfaces that felt effortless to use.
→Behind the scenes, I developed PHP APIs and business logic to power a lot of those dynamic features.
→I followed test-driven development practices to make sure everything ran clean before merging to production.
→Debugging became second nature — I used tools daily to track down issues quickly and keep the dev cycle moving.

2016-01 - 2022-06 Global Tracking Communications LLC

→At GTC, I helped transition large legacy systems to modern, cloud-based apps using AWS and serverless architecture.
→I built a native application from scratch that bridged the gap between old and new data systems — a huge step forward for the company.
→I also worked on a complex data migration system to move millions of records safely and efficiently.
→Most of our APIs were built in Node.js and TypeScript, deployed across AWS Lambda, Step Functions, and AppSync GraphQL.
→I managed deployments for dev, staging, and production, keeping stability and performance top of mind.
→Test-driven development was a big part of my workflow, helping keep new and existing features solid.
→And when bugs popped up, I tracked them down fast — solving problems before they became issues for users.

2015-01 - 2016-12 Odyssey Inc

→I worked on a mix of .NET MVC and Entity Framework projects, jumping in to complete and improve existing codebases.
→I built secure, HIPAA-compliant features in CakePHP, focusing on encrypted data and privacy standards.
→On the front end, I used AngularJS to make interfaces that were intuitive and visually clean.
→I also wrote REST APIs to connect everything together smoothly between front and back ends.

2010-01 - 2015-12 Earnware

→I was part of an agile team building full-stack applications using .NET and MongoDB.
→A big focus for me was writing scalable, maintainable code through test-driven development and smart design patterns.
→I worked heavily with jQuery and AJAX to build responsive, data-driven interfaces connected to MongoDB.
→Testing was a habit — I wrote client-side unit tests with Chutzpah and jQuery to catch issues early.
→I also built custom Joomla components, modules, and plugins to give CMS-driven sites more power and flexibility.

→I developed custom websites and WordPress plugins, often under tight deadlines.
→I built tailored integrations between WordPress and Infusionsoft to automate marketing workflows.
→One of my bigger projects was a custom membership system built entirely on top of Infusionsoft’s platform.
→Each project helped me sharpen my design, development, and problem-solving skills early on in my career.
